Okay, I remember getting drunk saturday, that much fits.
But I sure as hell don't remember posting this, but okay. I can take hint. Especially from myself.
I delved into the far reaches of my hard drive, to the classic rock and metal folders to find Fear of the Dark gone, replaced by "Fear of the Dark.txt" which said "You put it in the bin".
And there it was, along with POST THIS ON TUMBLR IDIOT.mp3, which is just an empty audio file, but another txt file in there convinced me.
I'm not hard to convince, not by myself.
Also, I managed to try out the dog sounds in the meantime. Didn't keep much attention until it got to the recording of me barking myself, which caused TPF to, well, reach out for the portable speaker set I was using.
I didn't bother to stay and check what he did with it.
Nice to know I'm a good decoy. I can use that, actually.
And I keep buggerring on!

DVD
So I met up with Clara and she gave me my DVD back, showed me several fan and parody videos, including "Blame the Viking" and "Slender Madness". Glad she has fun with it.
Anyway, we watched the film together, and I'll just put it this way:
RELEVANT.
The appearance is similar enough, the modus operandi is adequate. I think this qualifies as another occurrence of TPF on some subconscious level.
He seems to be mankinds eternal villain, but I daresay there's some people who, again at a subconscious level, identify with him.
Hence, Alex Mercer

.
He looks like Slendy, has several abilities similar to Slendy's, is probably as human as the Slender Man and orbits somewhere around villain protagonist. Oh, and the thing that kickstarted the events of his game? "Project REDLIGHT".
Since I don't really believe in coincidence at this point, I'll be more inclined to seeing this as some enormous red herring, or perhaps a joke on the faceless man's part.
Anyway, after we finished watching the film (I still tear up at the ending) I noticed the new post by Sopia... I really am not sure what to think of it.
Still looking for things I did on the night of the concert. I thought I was onto something when I found a note saying "Fear of the Dark is awesome, I should listen to it more" in my coat pocket, but it's really just stating the obvious. Ah, well, if it is relevant, I'll make sense of it somehow.

This shit ain't sanitary
Just got back home...and seriously, it ain't.
I was originally at a concert. It was fine, until I noticed TPF.
I didn't have my mask with me at the time.
He was, I don't know, mesmerising people, one at a time. They'd leave, he'd reappear after a few minutes and the process would repeat.
As much as I hate to walk out in the middle of Iron Maiden playing Fear of the Dark, this was important. I called up the boys to get my mask and get in touch as soon as they got it.
I followed a boy Slendy picked out out of the festival grounds and tried tailing him. I am about as stealthy as a new Porsche, but I considered that a person who acts like they don't see the world at all wouldn't notice a dude in a leather coat following him.
Then my phone's text alarm rang. He stopped, so I decided the best course of action would be ducking behind a building corner. The text was from Brian - he had the mask. I hurriedly answered with my location, direction of movement and urge to hurry.
I kept following the boy through the neighboughrhood, amongs block of flats, then semi-detached houses. we finally wound up someone's storage shack which the kid entered. I sent Brian precise directions. I had no intention of entering unmasked.
Another person, this time a teenage girl appeared just before Brian made it with my mask. I put it on and told him to leg it. He refused to leave me alone.
We entered the storage amd saw one the most horrifying things in existence. It was like a morbidly decorated party - intestines for serpentines, glasses full of blood with eyeballs pierced with toothpicks. The toothpicks themselves seemed to be made from bones.
On a table was a pile of flesh, a great big lump, that I thought was still throbbing, with two candles stuck on top of it and burning out slowly.
And then I woke up in the middle of writing this.
Great, I need to check if I did anything significant while I was "out".
And I need to contact Brian.

God bless technology...
And thank you for your requests for songs, they made swell #6.
By all means, send me more!
As for the post title, well, I don't know where Brian got six iPhones to spare, but I'm not questioning it. Plan was thus: spread around internet-connected sound sources (the iPhones) with different song-posts opened, put the volume on maximum (which, due to recording conditions) wasn't all that loud. Play at once, see how TPF reacts.
So, TPF appears, we run about, placing the iPhones, already playing different songs in a radius of about 10 meters. Once they're placed I signal the guys to leg it, while I sing myself ("Kling Gloekchen", in case you wondered)
So what does Slendy do? He shifts from one to the other, staying outside the circle. I thought he'd somehow be affected if I lured him to the middle. So, yes, I jumped into the middle and changed my song. He was there, right in front of me. And I froze again. And somehow, I think that saved me, because as soon as i stopped singing and he reached out for the phones. He grabbed them all and seemed to be examining them as I unfroze. So I ran like the wind and did not look back.
Actual "scientific" results? Singing interests him, but I think I multi-themed it too much to be of any memetic effect, but he does show disinterest in silent victims if their voice is heard elsewhere.
Also, I think he moved to the rythm of the song he was closest to, but I might have been imagining things.
Well, I'll keep trying.
#6 is not over yet.

Minor antagonists
Like Sopia. How you ever wondered why do they appear at all? Taking it logically, they should not be in the game at all. TPF has demonstrated time and again that he is perfectly capable of breaking minds, lives and bodies of many men at a time without break any metaphorical sweat. He has no need or real purpose for all these followers, agents, revenants, redlights (ha ha ha, joke is still on Zero), rapists, mind control victims and other goons.
And yet here they are, stalking, tackling, killing, maiming, scheming, posting cryptic little messages, suggesting they know more than they do, or trying to make what they do know sound more profound. That, my dears, is because they may be two things:
Victims, like any and all of us. Coping in different ways, seeing the situation differently, somehow convinced they're not stalked and opressed, but conquered and subservient. With this in place he would need them as much as he needs us.
Otherwise, they could be not a necessity, but more a demonstration of power. A show of control over the minds, hearts and actions of humans very much like ourselves. It is meant as an amplifier of the fear he reaps from us.
Of course, we could be all in the wrong on this, we could be the real villains all along, while the drones are actually on the side of some strange yet true justice, that the Slender Man is there to serve. Who knows? I mean, nobody can credibly claim to understand him, it's always just mad ramblings when they do and all anyone can do is speculate.
The title still holds, as you see, even if its origin has gone down the mental drain.
Other news:
The finale of #8 didn't go down well, but at least we got away safe, although I lost the damn photo Brian made.
Remember dears, Slendy is, despite all noted similarities, NOT Judge Doom and paint thinner does fuck-all to him.
Back to the fucking drawing board.
Bye.

Brian is out
Of hospital, anyway. He's supposed to report to his counselor weekly and report any episodes he might have.
He told us one thing he's not telling his doctor though - every time he has one of his panic attacks he gets flashes, almost remembering, of what he wanted to tell us in the first place before the memory wipe.
We're also still completely baffled as to why Slendy didn't just rip him apart, since he was there anyway. Is there a point to it or is TPF just being random. Neither option has implications that I'd like, but I would perfer to know.
As to this Sopia person, Adrian thinks she(he?) is the one who nicked our stuff. Seems to fit in - she has access to and knowledge of our homes and hideaways, so accessing my blog seems plausible. Now I'll wait for this theory to be somehow shattered.
Now, excuse me, but I need to see whether the brick connecting has had any effect. Adrian's idea may be the funniest thing we've yet to perform. We've somehow survived up to this point, let's keep on doing that.
Let's rock and ride.

April fools aftermath brick and some theorizing
Friday, April 1st, in the morning, Adrian found one last note concerning #8 - a note to watch a certain movie.
Or rather, the first note. The note which started the idea that we could do #8.
In the movie, which I do hope many of you have seen, the villain bears a very strong reseblance to Slender Man - tall, pale, always in formalwear, imposing, manipulative, controlling a group of highly unstable henchmen, having the ability to shapeshift his limbs.
In the end of the movie the villain loses his cool and breaks into a maniacal laughter with a horrible, shrill voice and is ultimately destroyed by a weapon he created himself.
It probably won't do the job, but I'm putting acetone, turpentine and benzene on my list of ingredients.
In keeping with the theory that TPF leaks through minds of people into public conciousness I took note of other appearances of Slendy-likes and noted their probable weak points (just in case, SPOILERS AHOY!):
Jack Skellington:
Conflicted with Santa Claus - points towards Broekchen's theory with Santa/Odin - ultimately foiled by his own misinterpretation of Christmas. Confronted a horrible villain when trying to restore the status quo.
Yahtzee's Tall Man:
Was once human, became a slender faceless abomination after an attempt to save his people from invaders went to hell. Is in fact a minion of a "higher" being, employs one masked, murderous minion and is a revered figure to a murderous cult clad in red hooded robes. Condemned to oblivion from day one of his unwilling servitude due to his arrogance, ultimately destroyed when he was replaced with a former victim.
The Gentlemen:
Floating, mute monsters, followed by degenerating humanlike minions. They rob people of their voices, because the sound of a human speaking is the one thing that can harm them.
Ulamog The Infinite Gyre and his brood lineage:
I'll quote, since my knowledge of the M:tG universe/multiverse is scarce, while bolding important bits.
"Ulamog, the "Infinite Gyre" is one of the three Eldrazi titans and the monstrosity whose half-forgotten name came to be known as the merfolk sea god Ula. It is emblematic of plague, the blind bonds between parasite and host, and overabundance. Ulamog is creation and destruction wrapped together in unholy harmony.
The Ulamog brood lineage is characterized by dense masses of suckerless tentacles, multiple withered arms bifurcated at the elbow, and most unsettling, eyeless bony plates in inhuman but vaguely facial forms. The ravenous and brutish Eldrazi of the Ulamog lineage lurch and shudder over the ground, adept at spreading disease and draining from the psyches as well as the life energy of their victims."
The Eldrazi were imprisoned in a single world, so as not to ravage the multiverse, since they were too powerful for the Planeswalkers to handle. In that world they made an entire race of undead their servants.
These examples and a few other strongly implicate extraplanar travel, mental infection, dominion over a group of "lesser" creatures, but only the Eldrazi exaple hints at invincibility and even that not so strongly (I can't tell relevant from irrelevant in the M:tG writing, sorry).
Almost always in a position of authority - judge, king, prince, god...
Always thwarted.
The brick is flying, let's do this.

It's been a while
Well, the last time I posted was last year.
Okay, things seem to be moving on all around, although not much seems to have changed thanks to Zero's plan it may help in the long run. I hope.
My 'Rock' has started rolling on its own accord and I daresay, needs no more prodding. I'm most interested how this will work out.
But back to local affairs - Adrian and I have visited Brian on the year's first weekend and I have to say, I probably never will see a room so multicultural - protective charms from almost every possible source, amongst them a very ornate Celtic Cross, a simple Ankh (although I can't fathom how a life symbol would be helpful), Fuda charms (Brian apparently founda the only Shinto priest in the city and had him put them up) and a piece of hay bound with red string. I approve, I use red string myself.
Too boot, he wears an old iron horseshoe under his clothes. I never imagined his neck would be able to support a horseshoe.
He theorizes, as some others have already, that TPF is something akin to a faery, and only ways to deal with faerys are either evasion, for wich it is too late anyway, and making a VERY good deal, which, I believe, is impossible to make with Slendy, since we have no leverage. So much for the folklore/mythology front.
In the meantime I decided to recreate prank #4 and start work on #6. Since the Christmas/Solstice season is over I'm gonna abandon the miniature Christmas tree in favour of a pineapple, also I'll require some thick wire (as in wire-fence thick wire, not ethernet thick wire) some colorful rags and maybe a few sparklers. Anybody who is going to ask what I intend to do with this, as Adrian has, doesn't understand that there's only so many things you can do with a pineapple and wire.
#6 is pretty straightforward, though, but I'll need some portable amplifying equipment and perhaps an adequate tracklist. Any suggestion on what to get for either of these? I've got no experience with sound equipment beyond headphones for my Iriver and speakers and headset for my PC. As for the music I will try some Christmas themed ones (I know it's post season, which made me alter #4, but still) which includes 'The Carol of the Old Ones', the Annie Lennox version of 'God rest ye Merry Gentlemen' and 'Tannenbaum'.
It's been a while since I sang that last one, so I might actually do.
Also, I've been considering starting up an audio log, just recording any thoughts or occurrences that I deem relevant. Would anyone be interested? Or perhaps suggest a place to put up the logs, since I doubt blogspot works well with audio files.
Stay safe,
Maduin

Tough night...
It's like 4 AM here and I just got back home.
I'm checking on the others as I write this and I'll edit this into a full entry once I get a clear view of what went down.
Also, yes, I had my hands full with Slenderman tonight.
Maduin
EDIT:
Sorry for the edit coming so late, but I was beat from the events of the night and I just had to get some sleep, of which I got too little anyway, since falling asleep was a chore in itself.
I need to make it clear that I did not take part in Zero's massive battle plan, mainly due to being on another continent.
Anyway, here's a quick rundown of what went down this night for me.
I attended a Christmas party at the office where I work, The Mask stashed in my locker. I gave windows and closed doors the usual distrusting looks, but everything seemed fine. Until I left, that is.
You see, the office is nowhere near the center of the city, more like a creepy suburb, but with small office buildings and warehouses instead of homes and as I was walking down the road to catch the night bus I noticed someone following me, as in, a person walking some distance behind me, taking the same turns, going out of sight when I stopped, the usual.
I decided to check how determined my potential assailant actually was so I jumped a fence and found a small warehouse under construction, or rather, in need of several finishing touches - basically a bare brick building with no doors or lights. Unfinished, rather than under construction.
I knelt down and put on the Mask.
Then I saw Slenderman in there, standing, staring.
I thought back then that it's good that I have pranks number 4 and 5 at the ready. And then three proxies came into my field of view, ruining those pranks quite a bit. Anyway, the three consisted of two guys, one a bit lanky, the other a bit shorter but better built and the girl in the middle, they were wearing what I can easily call the creepiest masks I've seen on a person. They were completely blank and featureless, just these white surfaces without even visible eyeholes. It's anyone's guess how they saw through them.
The three came to a halt about four meters from me. Keeping in mind the probable attack from the unknown stalker that had been behind me and everything that was in front of me, I decided to crack a joke.
"So what?" I asked, looking directly at TPF, "These guys are going to break into a song and dance routine now?". Bad joke.
Slendy titlted his head and they did. The tall guy started to sing "Carpe Noctem" from Dance of the Vampires of all things and they began circling me, dancing. Another mistake I made was thinking that I could easily hit one of them, since they were dancing, and make a run for it. I don't know if my movements were somehow slowed down, but it sure felt that way, and the masked bastards (and bitch), without losing rythm, knocked me around a bit and knocked me to the ground and then had the nerve to just continue dancing. TPF tilted his head to the other side, apparently amused.
I got up slowly and look at him, the other two joined the lanky one in singing.
"This is how it is? Let's play it your way." I said.
I don't know, whether it was an effect of Slendy affecting his proxies, or the Solstice, or some narrative based bull, but I easily overtook their song with one I started singing and when I started dancing, they moved in accord. I don't know if you've ever seen a fight scene in a stage musical, but that's how I would describe what went down - I basically directed their dancing so that they knocked each other out. In the moment I thought it was luck, but now that I get a moment to consider, I'd sooner gues that it was Slendy's way of toying with me, convincing me that I can do something that I actually can't.
Still, I had to test out at least number 5, so I took it out of my backpack, happy that the packaging wasn't damaged, I walked up to TPF with it, thinking "I did this twice already, I can do it again."
And then I froze like I was never frozen before. If the Solstice does make him more vulnerable, it sure as hell doesn't make him weaker, or maybe the vulnerability makes him put in that extra effort in. All my muscles were locked stuck, my heart stopped for a second I think.
I don't know how long I stood frozen, but I know it was long enough for the proxies to get up, toss me into the snow and start kicking the shit out of me the old fashioned way, without dancing, that is.
Then some charged the lanky guy, I instinctively grabbed the girl's leg and pulled her to the ground, trying to pin her down and let my rescuer, whoever he was, do as good a job on the two guys. She threw me off quite quickly and aimed a kick at my face.
Then she fell unconscious.
My rescuer stood above me and helped me up. Slenderman was gone, prank number 5 lay where he had stood, unwrapped.
Then I got a look at who saved me.
"Adrian".
He said he should've left me to them, well maybe he should, but I'm glad he followed me and saved me. I'm not damaged permanently, either, so don't fret, just a few bruises. The Mask somehow survived.
I'll edit again later, for the supposed account of Zero's grand battle.
Screw that, I'll just slap in another post.
Stay safe, guys.
I obviously didn't.

Screw that, I'll just slap in another post.
Stay safe, guys.
I obviously didn't.

The sinning commences
Robert, Sage turned Guardian, is gone.
Jay has been gone for a while.
Shaun apparently also ended, but in his case there's still hope.
Still, Robert stated that the new Three Sages are there and the titles are up for grabs, so I'm very interested who will step up to the challenge, while I play a trick on TPF.
Also, there's a bunch of psychos with heavy duty firepower tracking and eliminating runners as a means to stop TPF's existence. Won't do any good, if you ask me, and Nightcrawler, as their leader calls himself, will most likely end up shooting himself.
So, for the title drop on this post.
The sinning commences, three victims have been infected, each a different person altogether, each given a different story. It's been almost two weeks, so let's introduce them:
First victim, called Adrian for convenience. Early twenties, fit, good-looking, nothing exceptional about him. Infected via Marble Hornets and Dreams in Darkness. Symptoms so far: maniacal delving into the mythos and initial look-over-the-shoulder paranoia.
Second victim, "Brian". Late teens, story writing talents, sub-par physical performance, book worm, initially fuelled with tales of badassery of Detective Ezekiel Strahm and similar, associate's the mythos with Croshaw's "John DeFoe series". Symptoms so far: claims to have seen TPF once and is currently checking mythological texts, folk legends and fairy tales for creatures resembling him and any method to fight back.
Third victim, "Clara". Mid-twenties, long-time RPG player, charismatic, good singing voice, inventive, very fit, treated to almost every comedic meme concerning our pursuer before being introduced to TribeTwelve and Just another Fool, her favourites are "20 dollaz" and "Splendorman". Symptoms so far: nothing noticable, except maybe a painfully vocal addiction to aforementioned memes.
As for me personally, sightings have been scarce but regular and yesterday he manifested prominently outside a bar I was having a drink in. I may be acting irrationally, but I haven't left home, I'm not running.
Oh, and M has been gone quite a while now, I hope he's okay, even though he'll start hating my guts as soon as he reads this post.
Stay safe.
